Literature and films have been connected since long, as both represent the social, political, psychological etc behaviors; just the mode differs. Usually, it is the general observation that moving pictures attract the human mind more compared to bookish form. Here, the book largely tries to make an effort to bring recognition to such moving picture, that is, Film-Adaptation. Though Film-Adaptation as possible literary genre is yet struggling to get recognition as a distinct faculty; it is being practiced as a method of teaching in several areas of the field. As a matter of fact, it provides better comprehension to the students and it also holds their interest in literary substances.

The interest in performing art like dance and literature encouraged the writer to pursue study in literature. Dr. Janki Bhatt has done her M.Phil and Ph.D in the field of literature and she is a lecturer of English. Fascination for blend of performing art and literature motivated her to write this book on film adaptation.
